Swansea Bay & Western Valleys - Wales Spatial Plan

This plan includes the identification of opportunities for generating added value to the tourism and leisure/culture offer - through development of a number of thematic programmes that can be implemented on a sub-regional basis for the benefit of residents and tourists alike.  

The Plan looks at how opportunities for tourism, leisure and culture can be strengthened across the Swansea Bay area and their potential to contribute further to sustainable development by:

• Developing tourism;
• Increasing leisure and culture opportunities for local people and visitors;
• Increasing opportunities for healthy exercise;
• Strengthening the area¹s sense of identify and distinctiveness; and
• Increasing the quality of life of the area to attract and retain businesses and people.
